Dia de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a traditional Mexican celebration to honor those relatives that have passed. Rather than mourn the dead, Dia de Los Muertos is a 3 day celebration of life! Mexicans believe the spirits of deceased children and adults can visit their families for a short period. An altar is built filled with food and drink and beautiful memories for the deceased to enjoy. Parades and parties abound. If you’ve not been to a Dia de Los Muertos celebration you are missing out!
